Despite many challlenges in providing health services in Lao PDR, in 2022 the country was able to acheive some of the highest rates of COVID-19 vaccination anywhere in the world. This was due in no small part to the dedication of health care workers who work tirelessly for thier communities despite often being underesourced. Here are nurses and doctors at work in Xaisomboun province, one of the hardest to reach due to geographic and other factors, and one of the lowest in terms of service coverage.
